I am an MIT Sloan MBA from the Class of 2009 with a specialization in Finance. Before Sloan I was in charge of Kompass.com in Chile while it was being acquired by Coface, an export financing company. I was in charge of the commercial development of Kompass as well as the production and the IT developments.
Before that I worked at the United States Department of Commerce in Chile during the implementation of the Free Trade Agreement between Chile and the United States. More specifically I assisted the Investment Advisor in analyzing business opportunities in the financial sector among other.
I did my MBA practical training at the Mergers and Acquisitions Department of Calyon Securities in New York. I specialized in cross borders M&A deals between Europe, the United States and Latin America in the energy, manufacturing and entertainment sectors.
I have been involved in many extracurricular activities at Sloan. I lead the Semifinalist team of the $100K Business Plan competition in mobile technologies. I am also the Vice President of the MIT Pro Life Group, a group dedicated to the defense of life and specially the defense of the unborn. I was also co organizer of the 2008 French MBA Conference in Columbia University (New York).
My background is in economics and business administration. Besides Chile and the U.S., I have living experience in Austria, Canada and Switzerland (5 years in each country).Hobbies include: music and movies, playing Civilization, reading and downhill ski.
