"On Point", hosted by Tom Ashbrook, is one of my favorite radio programs.
Recently, an episode discussed what is ailing current business education. Summarily, the thesis is that theres a lack of clear understanding that economy of a nation is not an end but a means to welfare of the society. This sometimes leads to the B-school educated managers committing socially irresponsible and selfish acts of personal and/or corporate wealth accumulation.
HBS's Prof Rakesh Khurana and MIT Sloan's Prof Ed Roberts debate about whether society is a stakeholder in a managers actions or not.
