The name "Positivo" evokes a few mental images: positivity, good energy, and a friendly culture. After our visit to Positivo, I can say that the institution certainly lives up to its name! In addition to an incredible campus, complete with beautiful sunny buildings and a lake, Positivo is an innovative for-profit company that offers unique educational opportunities for Brazilians. Some of their services include:
- A publishing house of content (Editora Positivo) for more than 900,000 students per year;
- A physical campus for undergraduate and graduate students in Curitiba; and
- A technological group that produces e-blocks and other creative games to facilitate learning and collaboration.
In regards to "Positivo Educational", or the core educational and publishing services of Positivo, I have to give the company an A+ (what better way to rate an educational enterprise?). Positivo is a leader in the field for obvious reasons: high performance standards and a dedicated staff of 200 content builders. Their methodology is innovative, and Editora Positivo makes use of digital content and platforms to advance the education process.
After spending six hours at Positivo, our group walked away on an endorphin high, optimistic about the future of Brazilian education and with a ton of "positivo" energy.
