Our study tour officially begins on Monday morning, and some of my classmates are already en route to Brazil!
This study tour is the result of an amazing amount of work by four MIT Sloan students (thanks Ale, Edu, Marisa, and Alex!). They have planned an incredibly exciting trip for 18 students, 1 professor, and 1 MIT staff member. The 20 of us will be descending on Brazil for two weeks packed with company visits, tourist sites, school and start-up exploration and, for many of us, a crash course in Portuguese.
You can keep track of our travels here on our blog our Facebook page, and on our study tour website.
Some of our itinerary highlights include:
1) The symposium event in Sao Paolo, Innovation in the Business of Education
2) A special lecture by MIT Alumnus Lucas Guimarães, VP of Grupo Positivo
3) Our visit to the Ministry of Education
4) Seeing Brasília’s Cathedral
5) And of course, experiencing Brazil's food, culture, and history!
Dinner at Churrascaria Rodízio
Lunch at Suri
It should be an educational and inspiring trip. Less than 24 hours until I hear, "Olá e benvindo ao Brasil!"
