The first month of core flew by and I already felt like I needed a vacation. Seriously, I thought after working in I-banking for 5 years I could handle anything... Little did I know, I totally underestimated the workload.
Anyways, in early October 2006, three of our Icelandic classmates organized a trek to Iceland for four days. It's a great way to meet and
bond with other classmates, while learning about Iceland's history,
economy, politics, and culture. When does one get a chance to check out all Iceland has to offer with all of your friends? We visited geothermal power plants, the
Blue Lagoon twice, and yes, partied Reykjavik style. Sloan and Iceland
create quite a dynamic night time environment.
We were warned that Food and Drink would be expensive, so we stocked up on liquor at the duty free prior to leaving the airport in Iceland. Lots of it...
Iceland never saw so many Indians together. Much respect to the Icelandic Ice sculptors who solidified MIT Sloan for us...
... which we put into good use. Sloan innovation leads to chiseling
the side of the MIT Sloan sculpture as an ice ledge to pour down
Icelandic "Black Death". mmm... tastes like liquorice
