In Spring 2011, students from the Sloan School of Management traveled to the cities of London, Paris, and Milan to network and learn from key leaders in an industry that has been a pillar of European economy for more than a century. Students learned about this pillar industry from a marketing, branding, and business strategy perspective in countries that have been leading in this industry for decades. Students had the opportunity to visit such prestigious brands and fashion houses such as Gucci, Prada, Hermes, and Burberry. It was a great opportunity for students to learn some of the best practices that can be applied to other industries.
Here you’ll learn of the value of these trips from the travelers, while they were traveling; how they faced challenges to their thinking and develop new approaches; and the variety of projects that have spawned from this in-depth learning experience. Follow along and get a glimpse of the kind of hands-on intellectual adventures that make the MIT Sloan experience extraordinary.
