Hi, I'm Francesco Baldisserri, from the 2011 MBA class of MIT Sloan.
I grew up in Italy where I graduated in Computer Science engineering; I was particularly interested in Operations Research and in summer 2006 I worked as visiting researcher at the Georgia Institute of Technology.
After graduation I moved to management consulting because I wanted to work on real life problems, switch industries and projects while learning as much as I could from all this different experiences. I worked since 2007 in the Milan office of Booz & Company, where I participated to different projects spacing from costs reduction to project management for clients from TelCo., Goverment and Energy industry.
I'm here at MIT Sloan because I want to enrich my preparation with the value that a school like this can add: on-field experience, great professors and the interaction with a class of diverse and motivated people.
I'm especially interested in sustainability and last spring I've been to India, working with an NGO, to learn something more about health care, education, women empowerment, ...
I really enjoy sport, especially runnning and snowboarding, and I'm an occasional fan of extreme sports (rafting, hydro speed, parachute, ...). I love to travel and (over)engaging in all activities I consider even remotely interesting (right now I'm learning guitar and spanish!).
