“We definitely need to build a tunnel between Brazil and Japan!” That was the conclusion reached after an amazing mixer between Japanese and Brazilian first years.
B-school is a place where you’ll have lots of opportunities to mix with different cultures. Here, at MIT Sloan, you have the chance and the people to do so beyond any school official gathering. So, last week, we organized a dinner at a friends’ house to mix sushi (traditional Japanese dish) and caipirinha (traditional Brazilian drink). What a lovely night! It was amazing to be able to spend time with another culture in a more informal setting, to understand in depth differences and similarities and to specially appreciate and admire our diversity.
Unfortunately today was a sad day in the history of Japan. I send my condolences to all the Japanese community. We, from the all the MIT Sloan community, are available to help in any possible way.
Below are some pictures from the event, reflecting the positive thinking we all have today towards this amazing society and country.
