I can't believe it - the end is almost near! Tomorrow, we graduate, yet it only feels like we arrived at MIT yesterday. Tomorrow when we walk during convocation, I will certainly reflect on how much I grew as a person in the past two years.
When I arrived at Sloan two years ago, I came from an industry (financial services) in which I was unsure on whether I wanted to continue. Now, two years later, I am fortunate to be entering an industry of which I've been dreaming - technology. I know that the experiences and opportunities afforded to me by Sloan have helped me realize this goal of transitioning my career.
Over the pat two years, I took 24 classes, visited 7 countries, organized 6 conferences, and had the privilege of meeting hundreds of amazing people from scores of industries. Each person and opportunity helped me learn and gain additional perspectives on life while helping me mature as a person. While many from the "outside" might think that business school is "cheesy" or "lame" or a "joke", I have come to realize that the experiences and opportunities that arise from being part of a community of ambitious and talented people for two years are invaluable.
Tomorrow may be the end of my time at business school, but it marks the start of a new chapter of my personal and professional life. Kudos to Sloan. Kudos to MIT. Kudos to all of my classmates.
