Today is the first day of classes after spring break! A rainy day in Boston but it's one step closer to the home stretch in June.
An overwhelming majority of the class traveled during spring break all over the world. I came back last night after spending 10 days in Morocco, hosting the MIT Global Startup Workshop (www.mitgsw.org), MIT's only three-day student-run annual conference. It was a tremendous leadership skill-building experience in a beautiful kingdom. My organizing team consisted of 4 Sloanies and 14 MIT engineers. Furthermore, 400 attendees from 35 countries attended the conference which featured 10 panels on entreprenership-related topics, 7 keynote speakers, a business plan competition, elevator pitch competition, networking receptions, and a formal gala dinner/concert with Finaire, Morocco's hottest hip hop and rap group!
Several of us took a driving tour around Morocco for a few days after the conference as well, visiting cities such as Casablanca, Fes, Rabat, Essouira, and Meknes. It was an amazing experience!
Only two more months left before graduation - time has flown by fast! Stay tuned for future posts...
