At 18 years old I left Massachusetts for the midwest. Ten years in Chicago couldn't shake my Boston-ness: a love for the Red Sox and clam chowder, and a determination to strive and work hard at whatever I do.
So amidst the shock and pain, sitting glued to the tv screen on Monday, a bright spot was the messages of support and empathy coming from my future classmates and the school as a whole. I appreciated the emails on our Sloan '15 listserv from around the world, and the picture below of the MIT Green Building that night.
Boston will stay strong, and nobody can take that away from us.
