As Co-President of the Real Estate Club, I've been putting together the 2011 MIT Real Estate Symposium, which is a joint event this year hosted by the Alumni Association of the Center for Real Estate (AACRE) and the MIT Sloan Real Estate Club. The event is co-sponsored by ULI Boston and New England Women in Real estate and will be held at Boston Properties' newly completed Atlantic Wharf Development on April 1. We have some great speakers lined up this year, thanks to a Center for Real Estate alum who helped us out tremendously in recruiting some great panelists.

In our afternoon panel (presented by the MIT Sloan Real Estate Club), we have:

Mike Dorsche, Executive Vice President of Investments, iStar Financial
Edward Glickman, President & COO of Pennsylvanie REIT
Scott Hileman, Director, Real Estate, Deloitte Financial Advisory Services LLP
Jason Liu, Managing Director at AmCap REIT
Panel IV - Global Trends in Real Estate Investments
Moderator: Ken Munkacy, Senior Managing Director, GID International

Although I am switching careers from real estate to technology, organizing the event has been a great experience and hopefully the Symposium will help grow the MIT Sloan Real Estate Club and foster a great relationship with AACRE, the Center Center for Real Estate and other departments at MIT.
